POLITICAL RUSH HOUR with JOHN STAMMREICH & MATT KAUBLE
Sponsored by: CivicMerit / PROCINCT

Refusing to simply watch the spin from all sides throughout the City of Los Angeles and Southern California on important political issues, John and Matt launched the “Southern California Political Round-up” in 2014 as their way of getting to the root causes and issues affecting fellow Southern Californian and Los Angeles stakeholders by brushing aside political rhetoric and special interest talking points.
This show is not going to shy away from political “3rd rails”, and will be a challenge to both fellow conservatives and non-conservatives to back up their positions to address the actual issue of a topic, be it a local, state or national one. John’s political wit and sarcasm are well known to his supporters; guests, callers and listeners should not expect unchallenged, boring, monotone discussion. They should also expect to be challenged on any fabricated data by Matt, who prides himself on verifying and challenging false political talking points. The objective of their show is to arm the local conservative listener base with useful information to best engage non-conservatives in a civil manner during the week on politically relevant topics for the good of our local communities, the great state of California and our great nation.
John Stammreich has been one of the leading conservative activists in Southern California since returning in 2002. John was born and raised in Southern California, served 11 years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Naval Officer, and has been active in California Republican politics since 2002. He is most known for his 2010 State Senate campaign, serving on the NW San Pedro Neighborhood Council from 2006-2012, chairing the Republican Central Committee for Palos Verdes, San Pedro and Long Beach from 2007-2013, and as one of the spokesmen for the No on Measure B campaign in 2009, the DWP solar energy boondoggle financed by former LA Mayor Villaraigosa & the IBEW that was narrowly defeated through aggressive neighborhood council activism. John served on the Executive Board for the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC), the Executive Committee for the California Republican Party (CRP) and has been a delegate to the CRP since 2007. John served on the original Congress of Neighborhood Council committee in 2009, as well as the DWP Oversight Committee from 2007-2013. John has been active in both education and non-profit organizations within the City of Los Angeles, including his participation in LAUSD’s Principal for a Day for the past 4 years to learn more about local students, and serving as the Los Angeles County Area Coordinator for the United States Naval Academy Information Program, of which he is a Class of 1992 graduate. He is very active within the Knights of Columbus and the San Pedro Elks Lodge, and serves on the board of directors of the Aero Club of Southern California, the Education Advisory Board for Antioch University Los Angeles and was most recently appointed to the 21-member Zoning Advisory Committee for the City of Los Angeles. John is a 1992 graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland with a B.S. degree in Engineering. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Regis University in Boulder, CO. John lives in San Pedro with his wife Andrea and two daughters, AnneMarie (10) and Violet (5).
Matt Kauble’s political experience started in 1999 when he volunteered for his former high school teacher (since then, 4-time City Councilmember and 2-time Mayor) Bruce Barrows in his first Cerritos City Council election. Since then, Matt has been involved or has run campaigns for city council, school board, community college board, water board, Assembly, State Senate and Congressional races, some successful and some “learning experiences”. He has been a free lance campaign consultant since 2006, most recently the successful Walnut City Council elections of Bob Pacheco and Mary Su, who beat out both the Democratic and Republican Party endorsed candidates. Matt’s political specialties include campaign data, research, logistics, voter targeting, strategy and analysis. Matt currently chairs the City of Cerritos Community Safety Committee, and chairs the GOP 58th State Assembly County Central Committee. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC), an appointed delegate to the California Republican Party (CRP), and serves as Programs Chair & Immediate Past President of the Cerritos Republican Club. Matt still resides in Cerritos, and has a BA in Economics from UC Irvine and a Software Development Certificate from UCI Extension.
John met Matt when they individually joined the Tim Escobar for Congress campaign in 2002, challenging Linda Sanchez. Since then, they have worked together as GOP central committee members and on several campaigns, including John’s South Bay State Senate Campaign in 2010. They have also worked together on several initiatives within RPLAC and the CRP, including the RPLAC Candidates Academy in 2008, and collecting signatures and campaigning for the Part-Time Legislature Amendment, Proposition 8, and other conservative movements. Throughout these endeavors and campaigns they struck the balance of approach that listeners now hear each Sunday night and have remained friends.
The Southern California Political Round-up is their venue for reaching the conservative listeners both John and Matt believe are essential to bringing back fiscal accountability, personal responsibility and moral integrity missing in most politics throughout Southern California.
